Anxiety can quietly shape your life - your thoughts, choices, and relationships. At Vitality Counseling LCSW PC, we offer virtual therapy for anxiety disorders, helping clients find relief from constant worry, panic, avoidance, and fear. Our licensed therapists are available in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Maine, providing compassionate, trauma-informed care wherever you are.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

Do you feel overwhelmed by constant worry, even when there’s no clear reason? You might be living with Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

Our therapy for GAD focuses on:

  • Reducing excessive worry and overthinking

  • Managing physical symptoms like tension and fatigue

  • Learning grounding, mindfulness, and nervous system tools

We use evidence-based methods like CBT for anxiety to help you reconnect with a sense of inner calm.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

OCD can create a cycle of distressing thoughts (obsessions) followed by repetitive behaviors or mental rituals (compulsions). It can feel exhausting and isolating.

In therapy, we help you:

  • Understand and interrupt the obsession-compulsion cycle

  • Practice Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

  • Reduce anxiety without relying on rituals

We tailor treatment to your unique patterns, offering practical strategies for long-term change.

Social Phobia / Social Anxiety Disorder

If you feel anxious about being judged, watched, or evaluated, you may be experiencing Social Anxiety Disorder.

We support clients in:

  • Gaining confidence in social and professional settings

  • Learning coping strategies to reduce fear and avoidance

  • Practicing communication skills through guided role-play

Our therapists use CBT-based techniques and a supportive, nonjudgmental approach to help you feel more at ease in connection with others.

Panic Attacks & Panic Disorder

Sudden panic episodes can feel terrifying. You're not alone, and healing is possible.

Our panic attack therapy helps you:

  • Identify and manage triggers

  • Regain trust in your body and mind

  • Practice calming and regulation techniques

We offer a safe space to explore and overcome the fear of panic, using tools that promote lasting relief.

Agoraphobia

Agoraphobia involves intense fear of being in places where escape might be difficult such as crowds, open spaces, or being far from home.

Therapy for agoraphobia includes:

  • Gradual exposure in a controlled, supportive way

  • Addressing underlying panic and avoidance patterns

  • Restoring confidence in navigating the world

Online therapy can be the perfect starting point when in-person therapy feels out of reach.

When scheduling an appointment, we will verify your insurance benefits and let you know what they are including any co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, required pre-authorization, etc. We can answer any questions you have regarding your insurance benefits. That being said, sometimes we do receive incorrect information from insurance companies, which is out of our control. It is extremely important to note that clients are ultimately responsible for knowing their benefits and settling balances based on how claims are processed. Clients are always advised to call/email their insurance companies to find out what their benefits are and to record a reference number in case there is any confusion in the future. We are not insurance experts!

Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan.

Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions.

  • Do I have mental health benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • Is approval, authorization or a referral required from my primary care physician?

  • Do I have mental health telehealth benefits? Is mental health telehealth benefits covered under my insurance?

Remember, we are here for you, however, all clients are ultimately responsible for payment in full. I can provide you with the necessary documentation to seek reimbursement from your insurance company if we are out-of-network.
